The Finance Manager, Data Analytics & Business Intelligence is responsible for providing operational and financial analysis and support to the senior management team and ops field team. This includes planning/forecasting, results reporting/variance analysis, strategic planning, operations and marketing planning/performance monitoring and ad hoc analysis as requested by the senior management team. The candidate should have a strong technical background that will help shape the future of our data capabilities efforts across multiple areas such as data-preprocessing, data warehousing, data quality, advanced analytics, PowerBI reporting, and consumer and loyalty data.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with business (ops, marketing, HR) teams to understand their business processes and functional requirements, to create a plan, and to design and deliver decision support through data analytics and reporting
  • Develops new and improved current data models and BI reports (i.e. Power BI, Automated Emails, SQL Data Warehouse)
  • Lead the development of integration, extraction, and transformation processes between operational systems and the data warehouse
  • Development of financial models and multi-year financial planning documentation
  • Reporting and analysis of periodic financial data

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities
  • Oversee and define standards for the design and development of dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide meaningful insights to business stakeholders
  • Evaluate reporting needs from various departments such as marketing, human resources, purchasing, operations, etc.
  • Manage various areas of the budget and forecasting process
  • Assist with competitive and economic analysis and drive understanding of external impacts on business and benchmarks statistics
  • Identify areas that can be improved and constructively propose new solutions that increase value and improve business performance
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and other job-related duties as assigned

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with the ability to interpret, communicate and present complex financial and operations data
  • PowerBI, SQL, SSRS, Azure, database warehouses
  • High level of knowledge in Microsoft Office products and applicable accounting/financial programs
  • Strong technical thinking & analytical skills
  • Ability to understand high-level business/operational requirements and write technical solutions.
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, manage changing priorities, and escalate conflicting priorities
  • Self-starter, curious and proactive
  • Detail-oriented and ability to meet tight deadlines

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with PowerBI, SQL required
  • 5+ years analysis experience with building and working with data warehouses and analytic tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, computer science, or related discipline preferred
  • High proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • Experience leading database or systems upgrade implementation is a big plus
  • Restaurant, retail, CPG experience a plus
